Inspire HQ team members collaborating in their workplace

A tailored e-learning proposal

Workplace learning, built from what you already have.

You already have valuable policies, procedures and training material. Buddy can help turn them into clear, practical online learning that helps people recognise what matters, make better decisions and apply it at work.

Let’s talk
Prepared for Ange Connor · Inspire HQPrepared by John · Buddy · 24 September 2026

Executive summary

From information to confident action.

Buddy works with your existing material and subject matter experts to identify what learners genuinely need to know. We then shape it into a purposeful learning experience with clear objectives, relevant examples, interaction, assessment and reporting.

The result is not a digital copy of the original document. It is a practical learning module designed around the decisions and behaviours people need to apply at work.

Make the important things clear

Turn long or technical content into a focused learning journey.

Help people apply it

Use realistic workplace examples and decision-making activities.

Make completion measurable

Set completion rules, assessment requirements and LMS reporting to suit the client environment.

Illustrative example — not completed Inspire HQ work

A policy becomes a moment of practice.

The Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination Policy is a useful example of how source material can become a concise, practical learning experience.

01

Starting point

A policy or procedure

Definitions, responsibilities, reporting pathways and requirements—important information that can be difficult to absorb in document form.

02

Learning experience

Recognise. Decide. Act.

A focused module that helps a learner recognise inappropriate behaviour, decide how to respond, understand reporting options and check their understanding.

01

What respectful behaviour looks like at work

02

Recognising bullying, harassment and discrimination

03

A realistic workplace scenario with decision points

04

What to do, where to get support and how to report

05

Knowledge checks and a final assessment

06

Completion record and certificate, where appropriate

Built with the policy owners. Final content, examples and reporting pathways must be reviewed by Inspire HQ’s subject matter experts and authorised policy owners.

How we work

A clear path from source to sign-off.

Buddy leads the instructional design, project coordination and build. Inspire HQ brings the content, context, subject matter input and consolidated feedback. We can work together in person whenever that makes the process easier.

  1. 01

    Discover

Brief the team, review source materials and confirm learners, context, LMS and intended outcomes.

  2. 02

    Shape

Identify what to retain, simplify, remove or present differently; agree objectives, scope and format.

  3. 03

    Storyboard

Prepare the learning structure, learner-facing copy, interaction plan and media direction for approval.

  4. 04

    Build and review

Develop the module, share a prototype and collect consolidated client feedback.

  5. 05

    Test and hand over

Quality-check the experience and package, confirm LMS behaviour where access is available, then deliver.

Review model

Decide before we develop.

Script and storyboard approval happens before development. Two consolidated revision rounds are included across the storyboard and prototype/final review stages.

  • One nominated Inspire HQ contact
  • Consolidated feedback at each review point
  • Extra review rounds or material scope changes agreed and quoted before work continues

Source material

Start with what’s already useful.

Buddy reviews the available material and recommends the right learning format. Not every sentence needs to be carried into the module.

  • Word documents
  • Policies and procedures
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Existing training materials
  • PDFs
  • Videos
  • Company websites and internal materials
  • SME interviews or workshops

Starting without source material?

Buddy can research, write and build the learning from scratch. This is available at an additional cost and will be scoped before work begins.

Existing knowledge becomes structured, purposeful learning.

Video and multimedia

Use media where it earns attention.

The media mix is selected to suit the learning goals, audience, budget and production schedule—not added for decoration.

Voice · video · animation · interaction

  • Professional voiceover, including Australian voice artists
  • AI-generated voice or presenter options where suitable
  • Professionally filmed presenters
  • 2D animation and animated characters
  • Workplace scenario videos
  • Licensed stock footage
  • Interactive video
  • Screen recordings and software walkthroughs
  • Captions and subtitles

Filming, voice talent, licensed media, complex animation and other third-party costs are scoped and approved separately where applicable. Not every option is included in every package.

Interactivity and assessment

Practice the judgement the job requires.

Knowledge checks can reinforce key ideas throughout, while a final assessment provides a clear completion threshold.

  • Knowledge checks throughout
  • Multiple-choice and best-response questions
  • Practical workplace scenarios
  • Branching decision paths
  • Decision-making exercises
  • Drag-and-drop activities
  • Simulations and guided practice
  • Final assessment or quiz
  • Agreed pass mark and retry rules

Illustrative starting point

100%pass mark

The final pass mark, retry rules and completion conditions are agreed with Inspire HQ.

Learners can be required to complete sections and meet the agreed score before completion is recorded, subject to the LMS supporting the required tracking behaviour.

LMS and technical delivery

Portable learning. No Buddy per-user fee.

Buddy builds and packages the module for an existing client LMS. This proposal does not include a proprietary, per-user Buddy LMS subscription.

SCORM ready

SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 output. SCORM packages do not carry a Buddy per-user fee.

Tested delivery

We test in a SCORM test environment and can test in Inspire HQ’s LMS when suitable access and test accounts are available.

Options when needed

xAPI can be discussed and scoped. Buddy can recommend an LMS and scope configuration, administration and reporting separately.

Final behaviour may depend on the client LMS configuration. LMS configuration, ongoing administration, hosting and learner support are separately scoped if required.

Initial recommendation

Professional is a sensible starting point for the example policy module.

It suits realistic decision-making activities and branching scenarios. This recommendation is preliminary and subject to discovery.

Pricing note. Actual cost depends on approved script length, complexity, media and interaction mix, source-material quality, integrations, licences and review requirements. Filming, talent, licensed assets, translation, LMS services and independent accessibility auditing are separately scoped where applicable.

Ownership, source files + add-ons

A practical handover you can keep using.

Subject to final payment and the agreed project scope, Inspire HQ receives the completed module, SCORM package, approved project-specific scripts and storyboards, and the editable source files listed in the proposal.

Owning the agreed editable files supports future policy updates and gives Inspire HQ a clear handover.

  • Articulate Rise or Storyline may require an appropriate client software account to open or edit files.
  • Third-party stock media, fonts, software, music and licensed components retain their original licence terms.
  • Buddy’s pre-existing tools, templates, reusable methods and background intellectual property are not transferred as exclusive client property.
  • The final quote will list precise deliverables and excluded materials before work begins.

Optional add-ons and ongoing support

Extra help when you need it.

Support, larger updates and additional production can be added to the confirmed project scope.

Smaller updates

$199 + GST per hour

One-hour minimum

10-hour package

$199 + GST per hour

$1,990 + GST total

Minor updates can be completed by Buddy—or by Inspire HQ where the relevant editable files, software and capability are in place. Larger changes, new interactions, re-recording, re-filming or rebuilding may need a separate quote. The final quote identifies included support and any expiry or usage terms.

Proposal questions

Your questions, answered.

Everything here is drawn from this proposal. For a more specific question, ask Buddy or talk with John.

The Buddy way

We take the valuable information you already have and turn it into learning that feels clear, human and useful at work. We work alongside your team, explain things in plain English and stay flexible as the project takes shape.

We’d be very happy to start with one policy as a pilot, then build from there if the approach works well for Inspire HQ.

1. What is your development process?

We start with a conversation about your learners, goals, source material and launch date. We review the content, agree the learning objectives and prepare a screen-by-screen storyboard before development. We then design, build, test and hand over the module. Three review rounds cover the storyboard and script, design and early module, and near-final module. We stay flexible, and agree any extra work before the project grows or changes.

2. What types of content can you work from?

We can work from Word documents, policies and procedures, PowerPoint presentations, existing training materials, PDFs, videos, company websites, internal resources, and interviews or workshops with subject matter experts. You do not need a perfect script first—we can shape the material from the documents and knowledge you already have.

3. What video and multimedia can you include?

Options include professional voiceover with Australian voice artists, AI-generated voices, presenters or avatars, professionally filmed presenters, animation, animated characters, workplace scenarios, licensed stock footage, interactive video, screen recordings, software demonstrations, captions and subtitles. We recommend the mix that best suits the learning and budget; specialist production and licences are priced as part of the agreed scope.

4. What interactivity and assessment can you include?

We can include short knowledge checks, multiple-choice questions, realistic workplace scenarios, ‘What would you do?’ decisions, branching paths, drag-and-drop activities, simulations, guided practice and a final assessment. Feedback, pass marks, retries and completion rules are agreed with you. Final tracking depends on the learner’s LMS.

5. Can you work with our LMS?

Yes. We can prepare the course for your existing LMS, or recommend a suitable platform and scope setup, configuration, migration, administration and reporting. LMS subscriptions are not included in course development pricing. Standard SCORM packages have no Buddy per-user fee.

6. What SCORM and technical formats do you support?

We can provide SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, fourth edition. We test the package before handover and can also check it in your LMS when you provide access and a test account. xAPI or other tracking needs can be discussed where useful.

7. Who owns the course and source files?

Once the project is paid in full, we provide the finished course and the project files listed in the agreed scope. These may include the module, SCORM package, approved scripts and storyboards, agreed Rise or Storyline files, included graphics, video and audio, and other agreed editable files. Editing may require the appropriate software. Stock media, fonts and other third-party items retain their original licence terms, which we clarify before work begins.

8. Can Buddy help with ongoing updates?

Yes. We can update a course when a policy or procedure changes. We review the change and confirm the cost first. Our current guide for smaller updates is $199 + GST per hour with a one-hour minimum, or a 10-hour update pack for $1,990 + GST. Larger changes, new activities, filming or substantial rebuilds may need a separate quote. If your team has the editable files and required software, you can also make minor changes yourselves and we can show you how.

9. What is the indicative pricing?

Essential starts at $99 per learning minute, Professional at $299, and Premium Custom at $699. For an illustrative 20-minute module: Essential is $1,980 + GST ($2,178 including GST); Professional is $5,980 + GST ($6,578 including GST); and Premium Custom is from $13,980 + GST (from $15,378 including GST). Around 100 approved script words equals one learning minute. We review the material and confirm a fixed price before development; filming, talent, licensed media, translation and LMS services are separately priced where required.

10. What is the development timeframe?

Typical timeframes are 2–4 weeks for a straightforward Rise module, 4–6 weeks for a more interactive Storyline module, and 6–8+ weeks for a video-, animation- or custom-heavy module. Timing depends on materials, media, feedback and approvals. Share your target date early and we can check availability or discuss a phased approach.

11. What relevant experience does Buddy have?

Buddy’s public work includes QFD compliance awareness and flexible-work learning, and Ace Strata course-library work. Our tender experience includes Queensland local-government induction content. Our core team brings Nissan learning experience dating from 2019 across more than 50 projects. We also created a Triple Zero Victoria interactive RFI proof of concept, which was a tender demonstration rather than a contracted rollout. Relevant examples can be shared where permissions allow.

12. What does Inspire HQ need to provide?

Usually: a short initial briefing, existing documents or training materials, one contact who can gather feedback, access to subject matter experts or policy owners, brand and LMS requirements, feedback at the three review points, and final approval. We can interview your experts or run a workshop, while Buddy leads content shaping, storyboarding, design and development.

13. Can the course match our brand?

Yes. We can tailor the logo and colours, fonts and visual style, tone of voice, images and workplace setting, and existing training and LMS branding. We follow your brand guidelines and use examples that feel familiar to your people and workplace.

14. How do you approach accessibility?

We can include captions, subtitles, transcripts where useful, alt text for meaningful images, clear headings and instructions, readable text, suitable colour contrast, keyboard-friendly navigation, and screen-reader-aware design where the course software supports it. We work towards WCAG 2.1 AA practices; exact features depend on the format and LMS. A formal independent accessibility audit can be scoped separately.

Next step

Legendary learning.

Let’s turn one of your existing policies into learning people can use.

We can start with a short conversation about your learners, source material, LMS and the outcome you want. From there, Buddy can recommend a suitable format and provide a fixed scope and quote.
